The Island
Expect warm welcome on arrival with Maldivian drums and drinks, followed quick check-in. Buggy is always available on the island as the Lagoon villas can be quite a walk in the heat. Everyone gets assigned an Island Host.
Joy island is small but beautiful. It’s a joy to walk on the white sandy beaches and lanes and enjoy sitting on the personal loungers provided with each beach villa and just watch the waves on the indian ocean and enjoy the sea breeze. The lagoon is really wonderful with a light blue water, the lagoon bottom at sunset side has soft sand, almost no need to use aquashoes.
On the sunrise side, the island is protected from waves by barrier reef, and concrete walls that do not spoil the views at all. The best snorkeling spots can be found around the end of the water villas pier. If you are a good swimmer, snorkeling in the channel near the western tip of the island will give you an incredible experience.

If music of surf won’t disturb your sleep Beach Villa with Sunrise View is good chioce. The beach here is rather long and nice, the bottom of this part of the lagoon has soft white sand. Sunrise Family Beach villas have a shorter beach line and somewhere sharp stones at the bottom of the lagoon which you need to come over in order to reach white soft sand.
